Overview

This essential course covers an understanding of what equalities means in everyday work in childcare settings and will cover:



  • developing an understanding of the importance of equalities

  • identifying strengths in equalities practice

  • sharing top tips and information about resources

  • identifying difficulties and areas to develop in equalities practice and explore ways to improve and extend practice

  • developing an understanding of discrimination and skills and techniques to challenge it

  • looking at the use of language and current terminology

  • exploring ideas for play activities that acknowledge and promoting an understanding of diversity and affirming each child's identity
    offering initial support for developing an equal opportunities policy.
