Course Code
Course Types
This informative training session addresses the questions many practitioners are discussing as they consider the challenges around assessment in the revised EYFS (launched September 2021).

This course will support you in understanding what needs to be continued, what needs to be adapted, and what can be stopped.

The course shares insights into how an effective key person moves forward in the EYFS.

Practitioners will be equipped to ensure that manageable and appropriate assessment practices are tailored to match the needs of individual children.

Settings need to retain the core EYFS focus on high quality interactions with children, whilst reducing burdensome assessment and tracking systems and tuning in to each child’s learning and well-being needs.

The aims of this course are:

  • To enhance your understanding of approaches to assessment as set out in the revised EYFS

  • To equip you to refresh existing systems and implement a revised approach with confidence.
