Business planning for the 30 hours extended entitlement
The introduction of the 30 hours extended entitlement has meant that every Early Years provider is having to look closely at their delivery model and make changes in order to deliver sustainably. In an environment where they face static levels of funding alongside increasing costs, the challenges that they are facing this year will become even more pronounced in the coming years.
Comments from providers who attended the workshop included: “I don’t feel now as though we are swimming through custard! I know what we have to do and can work out how to do it back at base.” “I might have a few less sleepless nights now I’ve got a better idea of what I am doing.” “I was apprehensive at the start of the course, by the end I was empowered to make changes!”
