Code: EY/18/1150 Business planning for the 30 hours extended entitlement for childminders

The introduction of the 30 hours extended entitlement has meant that every Early Years provider, including Childminders, is having to look closely at their delivery model and make changes in order to deliver sustainably. In an environment where they face static levels of funding alongside increasing costs, the challenges that they are facing this year will become even more pronounced in the coming years.

Comments from childminders who attended the workshop included:
“I would 100% recommend it to everyone (even those not offering 30 hours) – I will make my first ever business plan (after 16 years as a childminder).”
“I might have a few less sleepless nights now I’ve got a better idea of what I am doing.”
